LUNR began under the quiet of the night sky — through the lens of a telescope and the pull of the Moon. A week after my mother passed away from cancer, I stepped outside to clear my head. I pointed my telescope toward the full Moon, and in that moment, a commercial plane crossed directly in front of it. I pressed the shutter — and captured the image now known as Transit.

That single photograph wasn’t staged. It wasn’t edited to look like something it wasn’t. It was a real lunar photograph, captured at the exact second sky and chance aligned. That was the moment LUNR was born — a way to share authentic lunar photography through art, prints, journals, and everyday products that bring the Moon a little closer.
